We’re Kim and Nick, fans of the 80s and the off-beat, and more importantly: believers of True Love. We’re a married travelling wedding videography couple based in the beautiful Garden Route area of South Africa.
Originally operating as Nick VT Videography, we’ve now officially teamed up and rebranded to Ember Heart Films – something that reflects both of us and our passion for wedding videos.

Our packages start from R11 000 (or $1000). When we chat in the beginning we’ll get an idea of which package matches your vision, and you can choose if you’d like to add on any extras.
We’re based in the Garden Route of South Africa and primarily film weddings from Plettenberg Bay to Cape Town, but we love travelling and we’re always open to filming weddings around the world.
If you’d like to book us for an international wedding or a destination wedding, let’s chat about a package that fits your vision.
Our focus is only on wedding videos, but we do have a few excellent professional wedding photographers that we team up with regularly if you’d like photos and videos for your wedding day.
For elegant, venue-based weddings, you can book our combo package with Caroline Pinto Photography.
You’re speaking our language! We love it when couples personalise their wedding day and we’re always happy to chat about how to incorporate more “you” into your video.
Your gender, preferences, skin colour, culture or taste in music doesn’t make a difference to us – love is love!
We can film anything you want, but usually we would film the individual bride/groom prep, the décor and table settings, the ceremony, the canapes, the reception and the couple session. Some couples add on a few extra hours so that we can film the fun on the dancefloor at the end of the night too.
If you book us for the weekend then we would film your adventures on the day before or after your wedding too.
No need to stress, having a video filmed of your day is a lot less stressful than photos. You don’t need to look directly at the camera unless we specifically ask you to, so we’ll do our thing in the background and you do you.
We adjust our level of direction based on your personality and individual style (whether you’re a very affectionate couple, or fun and adventurous, or elegant and vogue), but our style of videos will always follow a more “authentic feel”.
If you’d prefer everything to be smooth and perfect and super slow-mo, we’re probably not the right fit for you.
If you’d prefer a wedding video that reflects your personalities and what really happened on your day, then we’re absolutely the right fit for you!
We subscribe to music licensing software so the songs that we use in your videos can be posted on your social media platforms without any copyright issues.
Have no fear! Our brand is 80s inspired because that’s who we are as individuals, but your wedding video will be modern and it will match the style of your wedding day. If your wedding is high end, your video will be too. If your wedding is informal and wild, your video will reflect that 🙂
NGL, our calendar does fill up pretty quickly, so for the best chance of us having your date available, chat to us 6-12 months in advance.
We have had times when a couple has managed to book us 2 weeks before their wedding day, so either way, chat to us and let’s secure your date!
